The exhibition was officially opened by the Norwegian ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Mr. Arild Braastad. The artist himself, Are Andreassen presented the exhibition. The Danis quartet from the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra performed a piece by Prokoffiev. In addition to the exhibition of Are Andreassen’s outstanding etchings, there was also a screening of the film; Graphic Mass – an artwork in itself, but also a description of the creation of an etching. The film was created by Are Andreassen and Knut Skoglund, with sound and music by the Norwegian composer and musician, Are Bredahl Simonsen. Among the guests to the opening ceremony were representatives from the diplomatic community, the Media and Norwegian and Malaysian art lovers.
