Exhibition by Are Andreassen

The exhibition ”Peripheral Observations” by the Norwegian printmaker Are Andreassen will be on display at KLPAC from 18 May to 31 May 2009. The opening reception will be held on 18 May at 8.00 pm at KLPAC.

Born in 1957, Are Andreassen received a degree from the Faculty of Art and Design in Cardiff, and Trondheim Academy of Fine Art. Andreassen is one of Norway’s foremost printmakers. He has exhibited widely in Norway and abroad since 1987, with several separate and collective exhibitions.

Andreassen has received several scholarships. In 1993 he won the Jury price - silver medal, at the 1st Egyptian Print Trienale, Giza, Egypt. Andreassen has been purchased by the National Gallery in Norway, Trondhjems Kunstforening, Norsk kulturåd, Sør-Trøndelag fylke, Fylkeskulturhuset i Harstad, Olavshallen, Trondheim og Universal Graphic Museum, Egypt.
